Buying from ebay with different currency?

if i buy a item with maestro, which i pay for with british sterling but the items in dollars, what happens (my bank is natwest), do they charge a fee to change the money into U.S dollars?

No, they don't charge a fee, they will convert the amount into sterling at the exchange rate that applies on the date of the transaction.

i dont know why they would, if they would then it wouldnt be much of an exchange rate, would it? the answer is no, they dont.
