  1. Not really.  Until recently you could match a Euro to 68p.  Now it's 79p so anything from the Eurozone will be proportionately dearer.

  2. no

  3. What are the import fees?   You want to buy the car at enuf discount so it pays for the fees.  Plus, if you drive the car home, it is not new any more so you pay less.  What car?

  4. if your gotta do it, do it now...that pound is goin down faster than a blonde wig in a thai whorehouse....

  5. no... im just back from spain

  6. Not in respect of the £/euro rate. What about the tax angle?

A while ago It was possible to buy a car in Southern Ireland and import it to the UK and save money (I was looking at a VW Golf)

Basically you had to go personally and buy the car. I think you get some temporary documentation and the drive it back to the UK. Then go personally to the DVLA and register the car. The DVLA may have some info on doing this. It must be purchased  and used for personal use (obviously only one car!) Do you want left or right hand drive? I think Ireland is same as UK but not Spain

US is cheap. My mate bought top of the range BMW X3 fully loaded for about £18000 (I think) then shipped it to South of France.

  7. No not wise ....
