Buying new guitar : Help?

Question

So, i've never played a guitar before, but now i want to learn how to.

So my dad is going to buy me on e tomorrow. Any advice?

Like what type to buy and other stuff about guitar

It is your first guitar? I would say get an acoustic, and not an expensive one. An acoustic will be much better practice for the fingers, and if it is cheap, then it wont be a waste of money if you later decide you don't want to play.

- Get an acoustic then gradually build up your skill. The better you get, the more guitars you can get, and increase the quality and price. Looks play a part, but don't forget about the feel of the guitar, and its sound and quality.
