Buying our first home?

Question

What are good store websites to go on to check out some prices on furniture and house hold items such as beds, desks, tables, air conditioners, etc...

We are in the process of buying our first home, we just put it under contract and are going to have an inspection next week. I just wanted to look around and see what place has good quality, but light on the wallet things.

Target

Sam's club and Walmart for cheaper appliances

Sam's club during the season, a/c's

Home Depot (same as Lowe's)

Lowe's (a/c, refrig, washer, dryers)

If you want gently used, try Craigslist.com in your area or OLX.com

Some are actually brand new and can point you in the right direction.

The best advice is not to buy anything until you are actually living in the house. Nothing will be as you remembered it and the room sizes and wall space may not fit the things that you really think are beautiful. It is very disappointing to buy something that you love and then not be able to make it fit. Once you have your house, take your time and really enjoy making it yours.
