Buying snowboard for bother need help!!!?

Question

Looking to buy my brother a board for his birthday.He's a bigger guy,about 6'1,245 lbs. I called the local Play it again sports and they said he was to big for snowboardind??? I don't know why hes to big....he surfs and skateboards from time to time. Anyway, if you have any suggestions please let me know

the people at Play it again are messed up. he can snowboard. for like a

freestyle/park board i suggest a: 160cm, with a board width of: 258 (or somewhere around there)

for freeride (backcountry): 166cm, with a width of 258 (yet again or something around there)

for all mountain: 164/163cm, with a width of 258 (yet again)

*also a park board should go up to between your chin and your upper chest (choulder area)

The size of board he needs for an all mountain board is around a 168, if he wants a freestyle board he can go a bit shorter than that, Good Luck.
