Buying something out of eBay.

Is it illegal to buy an item and offer a lower price on an item on eBay, and instead purchase it though Paypal and not directly from eBay even though the item was listed on eBay? The seller seems reputable.

No, it is only illegal if they offer a higher price they scalp.

It's against the ebay policies you agreed to when you signed up for ebay.

It may or may not signal a red flag regarding the seller.  On that is shady could have good reasons to route you around ebay.

I'd be very careful.
