Buying songs from ripit.com.au is a RIPOFF. How do i fix this problem?

Question

if you buy a song it works on your computer. Then if u copy it, then wipe your computer and reinstall everything, and put all the stuff you want back on includeing the song, the song wont play because it has some copyright protection thing on it.

Anyone know how to fix it? i don't think you can.

It's because they don't want people putting songs on there ipod... Just like what imesh does.

Sounds to me like it's copy protection of some sort.

Buy songs from iTunes, instead.  They have DRM, but you can authorize a new computer to play your songs.  You can have up to five computers authorized, and if you max out the five you can (once a year, I think) de-authorize all of them at once.
