Buying stocks & commission?

For example, Halifax offer low commission on one of their plans which is at £1.50 so does this mean that If I buy 100 shares in company xyz I will be charged £1.50 per share so I will be charged £150?!

  1. usually commission is on a per trade basis. meaning you'll get charged 1.50 for your one time trade
