Buying the Magellan Maestro GPS 4040?

I am getting my license next month, and I thought getting a Magellan would be a great idea.

I used one before and I absolutely fell in love! I was in a different city and I was craving Ben & Jerry's, Lo and behold! It got me to one in just 10 minutes.

But I was just wondering, is this a good purchase? I can get one for $200.00 on Amazon.

Magella makes good GPS unit however I like Garmin Nuvi series better. The price is not the same but it is a good purchase because on screen display is better and the menu system is very easy to use and find things from.
