Buying violin?

i'm looking for a violin, not a student one, and not a beginer one, i want one that i can use later on. i don't want it to be too expensive, but i want it to be a good violin, any ideas where i can find some. NOT EBAY! :D

  1. The best way to get a violin would be to consult your private teacher and have him/her get you a violin that will suit your needs. If you don't have one, you can always go to a music store in your area, but if you can find one, I recomend going to a shop that specializes in the repair of violins or stringed instruments. They always seem to know what is available and how to contact the sellers.

    It will be hard to find a good violin that's not expensive, but the best advice I can give you is to look at the sticker inside the violin and see who made the violin. Sometimes, the apprentices of famous violin makers use the famous violin maker's name but they sell for less.
