Buying volleyball shoes in new york city?

I'm looking to buy some volleyball shoes from new york city. I don't have access to car, so preferably in and around Manhattan. I'll be leaving NYC in less than a week now, so any answers soon will be appreciated.

IN NYC, there are a few places to get regular court shoes, but the best  place to go for a large variety is Paragons Sports.  It's on 18th and Broadway in Manhattan.

I would go there and check out a few styles and manufacturers.  Paragon will be a little more expensive than the places like Modells or Sports Authority, but they have the better quality and variety.  If you have time, you can go to Paragons and check out the styles and sizes (be sure to pick the right size).  then go to www.spikenashbar.com and order them on-line.  You might save some money.

i recommend mizuno or asics. as of a place to buy them, i dont live in ny but if there is a sports authority, sports chalet, big 5, really any sports store should have them. if not you could buy them online...

if i were you, i would go on the internet. i recommend adidas climacool vuelos. mizuno wave lightning 3's are good too. you can get these at www.zappos.com or for extremely cheap www.eastbay.com any mizuno's are actually great!!

I was in NY city around New Year's Day and my boy received a $50 gc, but there was no volleyball shoes that could be found in any store. They only carry court shoes.

The best suggestion would be that you order online from zappos.com or eastbay.com and have them ship to your new address.

there may be some sports stores near by, just check google maps. my recommendation is mizuno, however, asics are fine. if you are moving into the san fransisco area, there is a store in los gatos called sprockets that specializes in surfing and volleyball equipment.
