Buying wheels for my 2wd S10?

Ok I have been looking at wheels for my 2wd S10 and I have noticed that several of the wheels that I have looked at are for 4wd S10's and will not fit on 2wd trucks. Why is this ? The lug pattern is the same and they are both 5 lug. Thanks for the help!

The offset may be different between a 2wd and a 4wd.  Also, the center hole may be bigger on the front wheels for a 4wd.

Something to do w/ the center hole. I put 4wd rims on  the back of my 2wd S10 and the tires rubbed... Same tires on the original 2wd rims works fine..
