Real were to visit 4th placed Malaga for their final La Liga match of 2012 and the starting line-up of the defending champions was brought into question on just one aspect, the goal-keeper.
Iker Casillas had not missed a single La Liga game for the capital club for the past 10 years running and his amazing record was not taken care of by the Portuguese manager.

"I refuse to think that Mourinho has anything personal against Casillas," he told Marca.

"If we look at performance, the majority of players are not up to the level the supporters and shareholders would wish. Something is going wrong.”

"It would be unfair to point the finger at Iker for the Malaga substitution. I am not going to name names, but there are many who are not up to the mark.”
Buyo also stated that Madrid will now emphasize on winning the UEFA Champions League.

"Success in Europe has covered them with much praise, but it has had an effect on the drop in form and confidence of Real Madrid."
