  1. No.  If we have no openings we do not accept unsolicited applications.

  2. No of course not, why would they be required to?  And if they do accept an application, they aren't required to follow up on it or interview you.

  3. Yes. But you dont have to hire them. Its called Equal Oppurtunity Employment Act

  4. No.

  5. If the business is actively seeking applicants for a position and you formally apply by completing an application, they do have to accept it and record that you applied.  But that doesn't mean they have to interview you or even call you for further information.  They are also under no obligation to notify you when the position is filled.

  6. NO.........unless.................

they have announced or advertised in any way that they are actively seeking applicants. if they are not hiring and have no intention to hire they do not have to hand out blank applications but once they give out the blank application they must then accept it back in a timely manner. they do not have to consider hiring the applicant and the application should be kept on file for 1 year,  in some states even longer.

  7. I believe they have to accept it, but it doesn't mean anything. I mean if they don't want to hire you then they will just file it away and for get about it.

  8. No. For example, if the business did not have an opening, why would it accept an application?
