  1. There are certain conditions to adopt when wearing hijab it is merely not just a piece of cloth on your head.

You say 'simple black hair may not attract many eyes. But a glaring hijab may attract much more stares' but I can tell you it does not matter if they get more stares, the fact is many Muslimah's follow what Allah (swt) says. Even the Niqaabi's get stares but that is not to say hey lets take it off!! Simplicity is best anyhow.

AS long as the hijab is not too dazzling there is no problem in wearing it, I have always been into fashion since I was young, however when I adopted the Ninja attire I have taken a step back and kinda cooled off though I still dress modestly I incorporate my  own style of dressing.

  2. I understand and I know what you mean when you're saying the Hijab attracts more views. But its not for the same reason, its for protecting from the lusts of men. Women are supposed to wear Hijabs with subtle colors like Light blue, green. But not to overdo it with sparkly bright red, because that does attract. If you just walk out without a Hijab and with you're hair, people are going to assume you're not Muslim, that you're just like everyone else. The Hijab is the symbol of Islam for women, it shows you're a Muslim.

  3. so why didn't allah say respect women reguardless of what that wear,  why must women wear a hijab? doesn't allah have the power to protect women ? if a man sees a ankel he must attack a woman. how stupid.  i see where women are raped in pakistan and report the rape and because she can't produce four male wittness she is imprisoned on chasity laws because she admits to s*x outside of marriage. how stupid. its time some people wise up.

  4. No because it's also used to cover the bosoms and mainly for that as well as to preserve our natural beauty for our husband.

    Assalamu alaikum wb

  5. actaully its not just the colours, its the face of the girl. what i mean is that when a girl wears a hijab her face lightens up and therefore becaome more attrctive. plain colours will attract as well. take it from me. as long as we cover our hair than that cool. and who ever doesnt accept it its their problem.

  6. Yeh ur rite in the kaffar countries but in the arab's u wont.. females who dont have scarfs here get more attention.. :)

  7. yes i can understand where you're coming from. i sometimes wonder this myself. why wear such a glamorous (sorry cant think of another word!) hijab..keep it simple. theres no need for all the extra shiny diamonds, glitter, sequins, beads, colours, patterns.

  8. well when u wear a hijab u attract more attention (sometimes) because they dont normally see muslims...(in non-muslim countries)

But when they watch u they dont watch u with a bad intention rather than if you would not have wore hijab

thats why its better to wear light colours and not hijabs with glitters and hot colours...that would really really attratc attention

  9. you are right.....if its about hijaab....one should prefer light n plain colors....such as, black, blue, brown, and so on........glossy and glittery hijaabs do kill the purpose ...n they make you look even more attractive to the eye

  10. Personally, i don't think it matters what the hijab looks like, as long as all the girls' hair is covered. I know what you mean, by saying it attracts attention, but its difficult to make a dress code for hijab, like, deciding what colours and material are best suited for it.  As long as the girl is covered up properly, i don't think she'll attract too much attention. = )

  11. I see what you are saying but you are still being modest, you are just putting your own style into it.

  12. That is correct...the goal of hijab is modesty, not a fashion statement.  If it's a bunch of bright neon colors like some people tend to wear, it sort of defeats the purpose.

  14. Allah said that we have to wear hijabs, so that's what we'll do.

  15. Next she'll be lecturing about wearing any color at all...tell you what, how about we all just slap on a black burqa and get it over with? There are  no colors are mentioned in the Quran. Therefore, if a Muslima wants to wear a lime green and hot pink polkadot headscarf, then more power to her...

  16. You have a good point.  And the truth is, many don't wish to see this.

Hijaab in general doesn't translate into head scarf.  It's a covering that covers the head as well as female shapes.

Hijaab has its conditions, such as it should not be see through, bright or attractive etc.  I don't mean to judge the sisters who do it, but in the point of view of "islaamic obligation", it isn't complete without following the conditions of hijaab.  And often when not followed properly, it CAN be a reason for stares or other such things in a negative way.

  17. Assalamu &alaikum, sister; I understand exactly what you are saying, however, there is a difference. Yes a glaring hijab could attract many more eyes, but it does not adorn you and make you s**y looking like hair does. If it attracted more eyes and made you more attractive, then celebrities would wear hijab. Now being a hijabi does not mean you would have to look plain. Adorning it makes you look beautiful. Nothing wrong with that. A woman is beautiful no matter what. I have heard comments from guys saying a woman in hijab looks beautifu. God wants you to be covered not ugly. See cover the sexiness not beauty.

  18. Simple black hair can attract attention.  So does the hijab you are talking about.

I am sickened at some peoples hijab.  Makes me so mad, sometimes.  You can look classy and plain in a regular black abaya and nice black hijab.  It looks better than all that attention grabbing c**p, anyway.

The other people had some good answers about covering sexiness, but you should cover beauty to a certain extent as well.

Simplicity is best like that one guy said.

To the girl below, if you wanna look that tacky and retarded, more power to you.

  19. I know what you mean... I've got hijabs in all the colours of the rainbow but always end up wearing black, navy, grey... and white in summer. I stick to the darker colours, and black jilbab. Bright hijabs/jilbabs hurt my eyes.
