Anatoliy Byshovets has urged the St. Petersburg club to push for the Russian Premier League title after leapfrogging CSKA Moscow this season
Former Shakhtar Donetsk head coach, Anatoliy Byshovets, has backed Zenit St. Petersburg to win the Russian Premier League title this season after saying that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Luciano-c22574 Spalletti’s men are looking dangerous at the moment.
As things stand, the defending league champions are at the second-spot on the league table with 54 points and they still have a chance to outrun CSKA Moscow should they managed to win the remaining four league games until
the end of the ongoing campaign.
Byshovets is of the belief that CSKA will find it difficult to reclaim the league title this season following their lack of form and inconsistent performances.
The St. Petersburg’s club claimed a 2-2 draw against Kuban Krasnodar at Kuban Stadium on Sunday. The Armeytsy, on the other hand, dropped all three points after suffering a 2-0 defeat against Rubin Kazan at Tsentralnyi stadium
on Sunday.
Though Spalletti’s men managed to progress into the semi-final of the Russian Cup after defeating the Krasnodar-based club on penalty shoot-outs, they failed to claim a win against the Russian outfit domestically.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Konstantin-Zyryanov-c21312 had opened the scoring on 6th minute.
“The last two matches between Zenit and Kuban in the Russian Cup and the championship left a very good impression. I think that the results are generally natural. Krasnodar showed more initiative
and had enough good opportunities to achieve victories in both matches. Kuban learned how to make quick transitions from defence to attack.”
“Kuban is an organized team and Dan Petrescu is a great coach. In addition, it is necessary to talk about the work of Yuri Krasnozhan. The team had already started to operate diverse, but the main
focus was on the attack.” The Soviet Top League winner was quoted as saying.
Byshovets revealed that CSKA calendar is much more complex as compared to the St. Petersburg club. The Russian International backed Zenit to retain the league title after winning the remaining games of the season.
