Byshovets expecting Arshavin to return at Zenit St. Petersburg after Tymoschuk – Football News
Well known commentator and sports analyst, Anatoliy Byshovets, has backed http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Andrei-Arshavin-c5771 to follow in the footsteps of Anatoliy Tymoschuk to return to Zenit St. Petersburg this summer.
“The return of Arshavin and Tymoshchuk is a good sign which can help Zenit overcome some of the problems. But their game has changed a bit and some of the changes are due to the growing age. They have been unable to realize their
full potential at Bayern and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429. The return of two former captains of the team will add experience, but only time will tell whether they are still stronger and faster. Denisov’s departure will weaken the team and I do not think that Tymoshchuk can compensate
for this loss,” the Soviet Top League winner was quoted as saying.
Arshavin has been told by the English Premier League club, Arsenal FC, that he is no longer wanted at Emirates stadium. Arsene Wenger, meanwhile, will let the Russian winger-c*m-striker leave the London-based club on a free transfer.
The 30-year-old striker, who managed to score just one goal the entire season, is likely to return to the St. Petersburg after four long years. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Luciano-c22574 Spalletti, Zenit’s manager, has made Arshavin his number target after signing
Tymoschuk from Bayern Munich.
Tymoschuk returned to Zenit after spending a decent spell at Allianz Arena, where he enjoyed UEFA Champions League football every other season. The 34-year-old was on the team sheet in the Champions League final against Borussia
Dortmund at New Wembley Stadium last month.
The Ukrainian International, who joined the Munich-based club after in a reportedly 14 million Euros transfer deal back in 2009, managed to win two league titles along with the European trophy during his stay at Bundesliga club.
However, Byshovets do not think that Tymoschuk could prove out to be a direct replacement for Anzhi Makhachkala-bound http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Igor-Denisov-c16694.
Denisov is likely to join the Makhachkala-based club in a reported 15 million Euros deal. The 29-year-old reportedly agreed on personal conditions and terms on the contract being offered by Anzhi after having a chat with club president,
Suleyman Kerimov, two days ago.
