Anatoliy Byshovets has assessed the Russian national team’s chances of winning the upcoming matches against Northern Ireland and Israel national team at World Cup
Former Zenit St. Petersburg head coach, Anatoliy Byshovets, has urged the Russian national team to secure the top-spot in their respective group, after recording wins in the upcoming World Cup qualifying matches against Northern
Ireland and Israel national team.
The Euro 2008 semi-finalists have been drawn against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Israel-c2925, Northern Ireland and Azerbaijan respectively. Byshovets believes that the Portuguese national team is the only difficult opponent in Russia’s group.
“Our team can compete for the top spot with the Portuguese national team, because this team can trouble the Russian team. We can take second place in the group too, but a first place will be a good result for the new manager and
the fans. Teams of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Azerbaijan-c2845, Israel and Northern Ireland are not dangerous as they can be classified as teams that are not among our rivals.”
I had to play against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Northern-Ireland-c2972, but that was long ago, in 1969. Then they have the team was George Best, an outstanding football player.” The former South Korea head coach was quoted as saying.
Byshovets revealed that the Green and White Army are lacking true leaders in the team at the moment, saying that Fabio Capello to collect all three points against them with ease.
However, the 66-year-old manager warned http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Russia-c2991 against complacency, saying that the Northern Ireland team will battle it out to progress from the group stages after twenty three years.
Byshovets urged his national side to display quality football in all group stage matches with maximum commitment because every lost point will be at a premium, and the match against the Irish team may build a winning momentum.
The fact that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Fabio-c13152 Capello replaced d**k Advocaat following Russia’s miserable Euro 2012 campaign delights Byshovets, who backs the former Real Madrid coach to succeed at his new team.
Byshovets hoped for a better tournament, insisting that the young players will try to meet the fans expectations after a disappointing European campaign earlier this year.
