South Korean Byung-Hung Kang erupted with a game-high 22 points and gathered 6 rebounds to lead South Korea to a 84-53 victory over India. Kang was remarkable from beyond the arc. He buried five 3-pointers in his scoring blitz.
Charles Tabet’s stuns Malaysia
The burly centre of Lebanon, Charles Tabet powered the team and handed Malaysia their second loss in the 26th FIBA Asia Championship. The 24-year-old centre posted a magnificent double-double with 20 points and 16 rebounds
as he spearheaded Lebanon to a comprehensive 87-59 win.
Even though Elie Estephane netted a game-high 24 points however, Charles Tabet’s all-round performance made his effort, the highlight of the night. He shot more than 76 percent from the field.
Tsung-Hsien Chang shines for Taiwan
The offensive threat of Taiwan, Tsung-Hsien Chang posted one of the best performances of his career, helping his team register the second win of the tournament, playing against Qatar. The most impressive part of Chang’s performance
was the points he added on the score board against the time he consumed on the court. The sharp-shooter pounded a game-high 35 points in just 25 minutes of playing time and guided his team towards a 94-78 win.
Chang netted 9 free throws out of 10 attempts. He was also incredible from beyond the arc , burying six sizzling blows to blow Qatar apart.
Arslan Kazemiu and Hamed Haddadi pairs to rout Uzbekistan
Iran’s prolific duo Arslan Kazemi and Hamed Haddadi joined forced to hand Uzbekistan one of their most humiliating loss in their history 132-38.
Arslan Kazemi was the top performer of the night as he landed a game-high 18 points, gathered 14 rebounds and handed out 5 assists. Hamed Haddadi wasn’t far away and shared the game-high 18 points, clutched 11 boards and dished
out 6 assists.
