  1. I do not have grids underneath my top cage (I have a 2x5, and a 2x4 stacked on top). I have two wooden poles, and a wooden "h" frame. I also have grids going width ways across the top of the bottom cage in 3 different places underneath the wooden supports. I have no problems.

  2. No, you will need to add support. The coroplast, although fairly sturdy, is not sufficient to support itself with bedding & a piggie on it.

You can use the grids, but you'll need to overlap them and use nylon zip ties to secure them together.

    Good luck!

  3. You'll definitely need grids for support I'd say. Also instead of building the cage with those black connectors.. use zip ties instead. That way it will be more stable.

  4. People have been able to use just coroplast somehow, possibly using zipties or something, but the coroplast has a tendency to bow in the middle of an upper level because of the weight, therefore making it a bit hazardous. I would definitely use grids for support to prevent any bowing and possible collapsing.
