C2D?

I have Asus P5VDC-MX and i want to upgrade from current CeleronD 330 (2.66ghz) to any C2D currently available. Is that possible? it is 2.0G revison of the mobo and in instructin manual say that any 2.0 or later revision is C2d ready. Has anyone managed to make this combination work?
