Is there such law that an officer can arrest a person for riding a bicycle on the "WRONG" side of a side walk. NOT ON THE STREET... but a SIDEWALK

  1. You can't be arrested for that. It would be an infraction and those aren't arrestable offenses. There is no vehicle code against riding on a side walk but there is more than likely a city ordinance against riding on a sidewalk regardless of direction.

  2. no, but when you're on the road, the rules of the road apply to you as well.

So when you're riding on the sidewalk going the wrong way, and you get off the sidewalk to cross the street (while riding your bike), you're going against traffic and you can get a ticket for that.
