We are moving and were wondering if there is an age/size limit on being a passenger in a moving van in California. Would we use his carseat? I can't find any information on this on the CA DMV site. Thanks.

  1. California state law requires children to ride in a federally approved baby car seat or child booster seat until they are at least 6 years old or weigh at least 60 pounds.

California also requires children under age 16 to be buckled up with a seat belt.

  2. I would think there is not a problem, however why not call the DVM and ask just to make sure.

  3. I dont see why not, just call up DMV

    or refer to the handbook
