I bought it back in sept. its been working fabulous for all this time, then the other day i was at a farmers market and i bought some really cheap batteries, put them in my camera took a couple pics then all off a sudden my camera started turning off!! the lens wouldn't go back in, and every time i turn it on a second later it shuts off again!?!!!!! I have put some normal batteries in since then and it seemed to be working for a little but now its shutting off again and i cant get my lens to go back in!

what is wrong with my camera?

  1. Maybe you put the batts in the wrong way ?

take it in to a camera shop and ask them about it, tell them what happened and maybe they could help you out, and give you tips to prevent it happening again.

  2. The batteries your camera was designed to use are AA NiMH rechargeable batteries  ... for about $30, you can buy four batteries with charger and they will last you for years.  Just be sure to use good energy management and you should be able to get 200 photos or more per charge.  Charge them the night before you expect to use the camera
