Rabbits should not be in a wire cage as it can be harmful to their feet. They need to be in a wooden hutch or a plastic indoor cage. They should have bedding on the bottom of whichever type of housing you choose for them.

Females will often try to hump another rabbit, whether it is a male or a female. The females do it to show the other rabbit that they want to be mated with.

If you are not sure of the sexes then you should get them checked but, it could just be that the female wants the male to mate with her. You could get rid of the problem by getting her spayed and by getting the male neutered. This will also potentially prolong their lives and it will prevent any unwanted pregnancies.

I have 20 rabbits at the moment, so here's what you need to do:

1. never but a male and female together, unless you want at least 20 new rabbits.

2. for the feet problem, try tile, or flat wood. Its good for their teeth, too.

3. if you're not positive about their sexes, then lift their back ends up, if you see "balls" then its a male.
