  1. Cats dont bleed in there menstrual cycle. this is calld being in heat and the only thing the cat does is rub against things, walk around the house meowing, sometimes spray on the walls, and make moaning noises.

  2. Cats do not bleed, they just make a lot of noise and behave in very peculiar manner. There is no mistaking when a cat is ready to conceive. After giving birth, she is ready again, before the kittens are weaned off and why the window of spaying is short but most welcome.

  3. Yes female cats do! Just like humans about once a month they bleed. You have to put a little diaper on them so it doesn't get on you carpet unless she is an out door cat. If you get her spayed though, she will no longer bleed! :) Its the same with all animals.

  4. they might bleed a little bit but yes they do have a menstrual cycle, it's called being in heat

however they only go into heat twice a year, unlike humans

  5. You will absolutely know when your female cat is in heat. lol

  6. No.

Rarely there will be a few drops of blood when they are in heat, but that is not the same as a period.  Cats only ovulate after they've mated, so they would not have a period.

Heat is when the females are receptive to mating.  The urge is very strong and they will do whatever they can to get around a tom.  They will generally be very loud and overly affectionate during this time.  But this can be avoided by getting them spayed.

If you are seeing blood coming from your cat then she needs to see a vet.

edit: whoever gave me a thumbs down, try doing some research.

Cats and most other mammals have estrous cycles while humans, chimps, and some apes have menstrual cycles.
