CAN I BURN AVI FILES INTO A CD-R(compact disc, recordable)?

I wanted to burn some movies from the internet but i can't find any blank DVD, i only got CD-R (compact disc, recordable), can i burn video files( avi, wma,..) into it and watch it with dvd, vcd player?

  5. If I am thinking right when you burn mp3's I'm thinking there is 80 minutes on them. And you can play the music in a dvd player, so it should work, I don't know for sure I never tried it. Your movie might be too long.
