Yes, the local train which runs from Malaga to Fuengirola (via Malaga Airport) runs every half hour, leaving Malaga at 23 mins and 53 mins past the hour.   It's called the C1 line.  The station for Benalmadena is actually in Arroyo de la Miel, which is the commercial part of Benalmadena, between Benalmadena Costa and Benalmadena Pueblo.   You'll be no more than a 1.20 euro bus ride or a 5 euro taxi fare from anywhere in the Benalmadena area.   Your destination could even be just a short walk from the station.   If you require further help, please feel free to e-mail me.
