  1. Eeeyup.

Hep A, B and C are all transmittable.

  2. Yes! Hep B is 1,000 times more infectious than AIDS. It is found in saliva, sexual fluids (vaginal and seminal) and of course in the blood. Hep A is highly infectious but is not carried chronically so it isn't generally a major health threat though people have died from it. Hep C is harder to catch than B, it isn't found in sexual fluids or saliva. It is blood to blood transmission. AIDS is harder to catch in men than women, Hep B on the other hand has an equal shot at both, which makes it very scary. Hep B is rare in the US, under 1% of the population carries it chronically. 95% of the cases clears with your immune system but that isn't a reason to be cavalier about it, you could be amongst the unlucky 5%...so take care and be careful. Don't share toothbrushes or razors with anyone, make sure you know who you are sleeping with, do not do injection IV drugs or snort coke, which makes the nose bleed and if sharing the coke snorting thing (not sure what it is called) you can catch it that way...if you do all those things you should remain Hep B free!

  3. Most common way to become infected in this country is by sexual contact.  Second most common way is by IV drugs or snorting drugs.  Get vaccinated then you do not have to worry about it.
