  1. They live in South America near the equator and the water are quite warm for a fish so you tell me. That would be like putting them in the coldwaters of Canada in the winter.

EDIT: So the answer is no SO STOP PUTTING THIS QUESTION and read the facts we give you why can't you go to the store and buy a heater for them?

  2. NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...

  3. they won't live for very long, they need a tank in between 75-80 degrees farenheit... Here take a look at this http://badmanstropicalfish.com/profiles/...

  4. Angel fish are tropical fish - they need to be kept in a tropical tank. Their optimum temperature is 24-28 degrees C. If you put them in a coldwater tank, yes they WILL die and you are being a cruel and negligent fishkeeper. It only costs a few pounds to get a heater!

  5. I am not sure...try asking your local petstore.

  6. It depends on the temp the water will be kept at cold. But typically no, they will not do well at all. They need warmer temps of about 78 degrees. If you want them to live only a couple of weeks, then get a heater for them.

  7. DIE

  8. They are tropical fish and will die.Heaters are not expensive!

  9. well i guess so

  10. get the cobwebs out your pocket and buy a heater. you might as well put them in a canal full of pike that's how cruel it would be.

  11. It depends on what you mean by cold water.  If it's at room temp and the room temp is 75-82 degrees F, then you should have no problem.  If it's below, then you need to get a heater.  If the water temp is too low, you also have ich to worry about.

Some questions I would have are:

    How large is the tank?

Are there other fish in the tank?  If so, what kind?

Angel fish are sensitive to water conditions and will get sick and die if they're not right..

  12. If you live near the equator or in a furnace they will be fine, but if you can't keep the water at 74°F - 84°F (23°C - 29°C) you are soon going to be digging a couple of teeny holes to bury them in.

Can you take them back to the shop where you got them from?

  13. No matter how many times you ask this the answer WILL remain the same. No, they will not survive in coldwater, they are sensitive tropical fish. They are not going to magically turn into coldwater fish just for you.

They will become lethargic, lose their appetite and die in water that's too cold.

Return the fish and research proper fish care.

  14. DO NOT put them in cold water water. They are tropical fish so the water has to be at tropical temperature. its cruel if you put them in cold water especially now you know that they will die if you do it.
