  1. It's not the size of the trailer that matters - it's the weight.

Calculate how much weight you're talking of hauling, including the weight of the trailer. Look at your owner's manual. Remember you will be going through some mountains.

I strongly recommend you have your transmission serviced, and have your brakes checked as well. Trailers put a strain on brakes and trannies.

  2. Have to see if a hitch strong enough will fit> As the tongue weight will be great? Also the trailer will have to have ele brakes>& install controller will be needed>Duel axles would help>

  3. You need to look in the owner's manual for your van.  Be really sure about what you're asking - the flats of Florida are one thing, but when you start rolling through the Appalachians you may find the tail wagging the dog.  Consider what all your stuff weighs and how much weight will be loaded directly into the van.

  4. Yes it can. I just moved back from New Zealand and have been traveling the world alot with my job. You would be amazed at what people can tow with little cars and little engines. I think with us americans we think we always need the biggest truck or suv to tow with. Just make sure you have trailer brakes, and if you don't there cheap to

    buy and get installed.

  5. ur 1999 honda odessy is powrered by 2.0, 2.4 horse power engine that can pull the trailer u mentioned

  6. If the engine is capable of hauling this much weight, then yes it can.  If it is just a 4 cylinder, no, it can't.

  7. Why don't you call your local U-Haul and ask them?  They have a "hook up validation" software that allows them to see if the combination will work.

45 Cal and jacob y: You do NOT need electric brakes to tow a 6x12 trailer and they only have a 4-flat wiring not the 6 or 7 way camper wiring necessary for a brake controller (you couldn't even use the controller if you had it or got it installed; if you like to waste money feel free to just donate it to me).  They are dual axle. They also have disconnect surge brakes for emergencies only.  Any hitch Class 3 and up is strong enough to hold a 6x12, the tongue weight also is NOT that much since it is dual axle.  You both should refrain from answering questions that you know absolutely nothing about.

  8. the tranny in your van is the weak link. very high failure rate. it can do it, but make sure you have a tranny cooler. must have a tranny cooler. they are rated to tow 3500lbs. get a tranny cooler.
