CAN RAWFRESH STRING BEANS BE COOKED IN THE MICROWAVE?

i am trying to eliminate washing pots when cooking on holidays. i would like to use throw away bowls. thank you for you help

cook them in water and sure. otherwise, they'll just get warm, but not soft.

Place a pound of cut-up, washed and trimmed beans in a microwave dish with ¼ cup water. Cover and cook on high 5 to 10 minutes.

Yes,  you can steam green beans in the microwave.  Simply wash them, cut them into chunks and put a small amount of water in the microwave.  Cover and cook for 6-8 minutes.  Yum!
