CAN SOMEBODY HELP ME my laptop is annoying?

i used to be able to make screencaps on my dads computer but now i have a laptop and i still have mediaplayer like i did on my dad pc but it dunt work help please what should i do ?!!!

Disable video acceleration. There are several ways to accomplish this, if you're running XP.

- Go to your desktop, right click Properties,

- click the last tab,

- click Advanced, and

- look for 'problem solving' (or something similar, I don't have an English XP). There you'll see a slider.

- Slide the slider it to the far left position (no acceleration) and apply the setting.

Now your video quality should change to a blocky quality, and be quite slow. But you will be able to make screen shots.

Of course when you're done, you can enable your video acceleration again.

Another option is to can disable video acceleration within Windows Media Player. To do this, open Options (right click the big gray bar with the big buttons, click Extra, Options), click the tab Performance (again, I think that's what it's called but I don't have an English Vista), and clear the last three check boxes.
