  1. hello

i too my children to chessington a few weeks back, and the youngest is 6. there is plenty for him to do there. they have a sea life centre, a kids farm, and a zoo with monkeys and lions etc. there are many rides for his age, and they also have shows on too. we watched a penguin show and could also feed them. if u can afford it, go. its a great day out, and my kids thoroughly enjoyed themselves. it wouldnt be a waste of money, in fact u probably wont have enough time to get him on everything, theres so much to do! have a great day, wotever u decide to do.

  2. go to gullivers park its more suitable he would love it!

  3. Telephone Chessington and ask them if they have any height or age restrictions.

  4. He's 6, if you can't afford it then don't do it, not all 6 year olds get what they want (not all 41 year olds do either). Would you be able to afford to take his friends or just him?  6 year olds love parties with cake and games and running riot.

If you can afford it but he is too small just explain that he can go when he's bigger next year. Good excuse to get him to eat more fruit/veg if he doesn't like it tell him he'll grow big and tall.

There must be other things locally if Chessington is not an option. Lots of pubs have play rooms/ball ponds, that is much more sensible at 6 I think as you can invite a few of his friends and he'll have a great time.

  5. Check out their website http://www.chessington.com/

This tells you all about the rides, height restrictions etc.  Check how tall he is and then plan how many rides he would be able to go on.  If it does not look like there are many then give it a miss.  These parks are expensive.

We got to Paultons Park in Southampton which is great for the little ones, although my boy is 3.  There are rides designed for smaller people and plenty to do for a whole day.  Good value too as it is a bit cheaper than the big, big parks.  There are not stupidly long queues at this park either
