  1. Just about every second shop (in Phuket) has a tour desk. They will have brochures of all the tours you can take. Have a look at them; get some prices and then book. Most agents take bookings up to 9pm the night before you want to go on the trip. There’s a lot to see and do. One recommendation is to take the drive to Promthep Cape & Rawai.  There is also an aquarium that you might want to check out.

A number of tour companies offer trips to Phi Phi; most are very good and safe. Just remember:  you get what you pay for. A good trip to Phi Phi should cost you between 2400 Baht and 2800Baht. When you find them offering trips for under 2000Baht, there is usually a reason why they are so cheap.

All Phi Phi Islands visits include pickup from your hotel lobby, some snorkeling, and relaxing for a couple of hours on their clean beaches.  None of the trips are more than 10 hours in length (even the half day trip is also 7-8 hours). Tours usually depart around 8am or later for ?- day trips. In all, they are all safe and cover exactly same locations. But the tour info desk staff will advise you best.

If you need more information about Thailand, try http://www.discovery-thailand.com , they also offer online hotel booking up to 75% discount.

Have a nice trip with your boyfriend!

  2. The white water rafting trip in Phuket is also a great day out. If you are staying in Patong make sure that you also go to Kata Beach which is about a 10 minute drive from Patong

  3. You can get your tours at travel agencies.  There are lots and lots of travel agencies all over the city.  (Same for Phuket too!)  Find the nearest travel agency to your hotel and check out their list of popular tours.  Some hotels have tour desks that can arrange tours for  you.  There are full day tours and half day tours.

I like the "Bridge on the River Kwai" tour.  There are Floating Market tours, National Park tours and lots more.  The tour company picks you up at your hotel and returns you there at the end of the trip.  There is an evening dinner cruise too.  Some afternoon or evening tours can be set up on that same morning.

(On any tour that will take several hours away from your hotel - always have some Wetwipes and TP in your walk-around bag!)

    Good luck.
