My pc shows 'download complete' every time i download (comic) .zip files but the download only takes a few seconds no matter how big d file is. But when i try 2 open d file, it would be corrupted. I know the download is not complete and d file size (100Kb) is a lot less then d original file size (5Mb). i can download others(bittorrent, direct download etc.), only zip files i cnt download.

i've check my pc 4 virus, i used other web browsers, and i tried other websites too but nothing help. is it my pc system problem then? why did my pc or internet connection stop the download? is there something wrong with my pc? any help in fixing it? ( / 3 \ )

Thx.

  1. That sounds like an awful lot of compression when A 5Mb (Is that bit or byte. Byte is represented by an upper case B. No matter, the ratio to the compressed file is the same either way) file is compressed into a 100Kb file. That's a 50/1 compression ratio. Never heard of that. That's why your files are corrupted. You're losing so much data in the compression that the files can't help from being corrupted. I'll check into it and let you know if your email is enabled.

I'm back. I read your question again. Does your computer or manager show the download as 100% complete. If not most browsers and download managers support resuming of the download rather than starting over. Sometime the download will resume by itself if you wait a few minutes. Answer this in your question and I'll check it after while. I know how frustrating it is.

  2. Not suggesting this will work, but you can try it for grins and giggles.

When saving the download, rename the file with something other than a zip extension. When you get it downloaded (if it downloads), rename it back to a ZIP file and unzip it.
