  1. You might have a loose wire, corroded battery cable, or a bad starter.

  2. did you check the altinador  or the starter

  3. Sorry but I would have to say that  it's the starter. We have had  the same problem many of times in different cars. It lay also  be your alternator. You  need both so I guess it's time to fix the car, If you do it yourself or if a friend of yours knows how then he can do it.For you to replace the parts it will probably cost around $200 , if you take it to a mechanic it will cost you at least twice that plus more,

All cars are different. the starter could be under the hood in plain sight

to make it easier to access it, or it could be near the front of the engine where it's  harder to get to, and even better yet could be under the engine somewhere and you can only access that by laying on your back on the ground.

The Libraries carry all the up to date books on all cars, so go there and see where it's located and whether you can get at it.

  4. It's just a (1) click sound. since you cleaned your terminals and made sure they were all the way on, next try to see if you can hit the starter soleniod with a stick or something. Sometimes they get stuck and hitting it will help.

    Good Luck

P.S. checked all the harness connections leading up to the positive terminal to make sure that there is nothing loose.

  5. Is either in the ignition switch or the starter. If your remove starter you can have tested at an auto zone or Kragen etc. Just clean the battery connections first, this includes the battery cables and their respective connections, are they clean and shiny?

  6. i have had this problem myself and had a auto electric guy clean my terminals for 40 bucks ! corrosion was my prob yea you cleaned the terminals but the wire just when it reaches the clamp could be corroded (inside of the insulation) or the small wire that also attaches to the possitive post is either broken or fell off but i am leaning to the corroded wire at the clamp hope that helps

  7. I don't know how everyone is giving advice. You haven't said whether it cranks and the engine doesn't run, or that it doesn't crank when you try to start it. Two totally different problems.

  8. Sounds like your starter motor solenoid is u/s or the bendix gear is stuck.

Try bump starting it and see if that free's it up.

If not then it's new starter motor time!
