CAR HELP? im trying to track a vehicle?

my dad sold his 57 chevy when i was a baby because we were broke, well now i want to find that car and either salvage it or buy it back as a gift to my dad, i found a vehicle regristration in an old photo album and it has the vin number listed on it, but when i went to do a reverse search by using the vin, i couldnt find a site that does it for old models, only 80s and up, so anyone know of a site that can track a car that old?

please adopt me..i sold my 69 boss 302 in 1975...really if u have the cash...any 57 is better than one u can't find...hemmings motor news is great.. you are a thoughtful daughter!
