  1. try Revolution  (selamectin)

it gets rid of  fleas, heartworm, ear mites, hookworm (Anycylostoma tubaeforme) and roundworm (Toxocara cati ).

you'll have to get it from the Vet.

it comes in packages of 6, at my Vet when you buy 2 boxes they charge you for 10 tubes so it's like getting 2 tubes free.

    it's expensive but it works.

advantage is better than frontline but since the Revolution gets rid of more things it's the way to go

  2. Advantage works really well. You can get it at the vet. Another thing that has helped my cats tremendously is feeding each one 2 Brewer's Yeast tablets a day. It makes their blood taste nasty to fleas. You can get it at any grocery store. If your cat is an outdoor cat, you should try keeping him indoors. That should help.

  3. just get some stuff in a tube like thing and squirt it on the back of there neck the fleas will be gone in a couple of days and you can get ones that last quite a long time

    i hope this helps (:

  4. Frontline is one of the best treatments you can possibly use. If you have used it regularly & correctly but you are still seeing live fleas it is because they are getting back onto your cat from the environment ie. carpets/bedding/sofa etc. You really need to treat the whole house (fleas eggs can lie dormant for months before they hatch out or can hatch after a couple of weeks!). Would strongly recommend either RIP Fleas made by Genitrix, or Permaguard or Staykill. They should last 12mths once used in the house.

  5. Fleas hate cold water, so perhaps a cooling bath may be in order. Depending upon on how your cat feels about water, this may or may not be an easy answer. However, from experience, this is the best method. Just wash them with water, and then make sure to dry them. You don't need to use flea shampoo, although if you can if you want to. After giving them their bath, use a thin comb to get any extra eggs or larvae out, and then comb some flea powder through.

Good luck with your battle against the fleas

  6. I use Advantage. Works good. www.1800petmeds.com

  7. i too have been battling the evil flea!!!!

i have tried front line and it seems the fleas really like it..lol..bombed the house, and treated the yard and all the critters all at once...and repeated it two weeks later...still didn't work..they prevailed..tough little buggers...there is a new kid on the block called primaries...haven't tried it yet,but comparable to front line and advantage..i had some luck on  1800petmeds..their prices didn't impress me but it did give me some other options to consider...i truly think fleas have developed a resistance to a lot of the current meds and treatments...kinda scary to think about...what can we do now to get rid of them???? good luck and if you find something that really works please by all means put the word out there!!!!

  8. fleas don't live on the cat-they jump on to feed and live in carpets, bedding etc so you need to treat the whole house as well. advantage and frontline are both good treatments for your cat-much more effective than bob martin spray.

  9. Go to your vet and get Advantage. You put a drop on the back of the cats neck. It kills the fleas but it also destroys any other fleas that may hatch for up to three months. It is wonderful. In 9/10 cases it will have no effect on cat at all. Some cats may have an allergy to it but there are other brands. You will have to get something also to clear the fleas out of your house as now they are going to be living on

you! Again check at the Vet's office they will give you good advice.

I don't think you even need to see a vet just ask the person at the front desk they are always so very helpful!

  10. Make sure you cat goes out.
