  1. No, this is not normal and it's not good.  He needs to see a vet to determine why he is so thin.  And, when he's recovered and the vet gives the OK he should be neutered.

You should also keep a bowl of dried food out and available to him at all times.

    Good Luck!

  2. no this is not normal you should probably see a vet. you  should have a bowl of dry food out for him all day. cats don't eat a few big meals like dogs they like to take a lot of little snacks. good luck

  3. bring it to the vet and have it checked for parasites, is it a fussy eater?

cancer isn't out of the question either...sounds dehydrated to....bottled water may help. our female likes water from the bottle cap, bathroom sink and bathtub, she has dishes of water all over the house from different sources: tap water and bottled water. hope he puts on weight and good luck.

  4. the extra scruff is normal, because that extra skin is there so the mom cats and pick them up. he might be underweaight though,

take him to the vet, and see what the vet says, he might give you viatamins, or steroids to help.

  5. oh my thats freaky.

my cats are about a year old too, i just leave bowls of dry cat food around my apartment and i give them wet food when I'm around. they are both quite lean but i don't feel any bones or ribs.

maybe your cat is just that way, but it is kind of weird, so best u see the vet just to eliminate any health issues.

  6. No, not normal. You need to go to the vet, and see what they say. He should not be too skinny.

Always leave a bowl of food out for him

  7. No, that's not normal.  Your cat sounds dehydrated.  Please call your vet and get him seen.
