CAULIFLOWER HELP please?

I've asked in cooking and gardening, with no answers-- how hard can this be? My question is: what part of the plant is the white part that we eat?

the white part is inflorescence i.e., compound corymb of racemose type of inflorescence.the green part is the penduncle of inflorescence.

The white and edible part belongs to an inflorescence of the plant . ( A collection of many to innumerable flowers is called in botany as an Inflorescence ! )

In cultivated Cauliflower this part is made up of striile flowers .
