CAVB launches second high performance Seminar for coaches – Volleyball news
The Confederation Africane de Volleyball (CAVB) is always up to promoting the challenging sport of Volleyball in the region.
In this regards, CAVB has launched many development projects in the recent times. The Federation International de Volleyball (FIVB), the parent organisation of volleyball provides full support to the CAVB to run such development schemes.
Currently, the African Volleyball Federation has arranged a great learning activity for the National team and coaches. The 2nd CAVB High Performance Seminar is on the move from 18 to 22 April.
The Moroccan city Rabat is the host of this HP Seminar, which has welcomed 56 participants. It is indeed a great development step taken by the African Volleyball Federation. The CAVB actually launched this project last year as a part of its Development Strategy.
The previous edition of the High Performance seminar was held in Cairo, Egypt and it turned out to be a major success. It catered to the needs of more than 100 participants and successfully laid the foundation for development process.
The CAVB High Performance Seminar is serving the sole purpose of developing volleyball in Africa at the highest professional level. It aims to enhance the fundamental skills of athletes and understanding of coaches about the game. The participants of the
seminar will be given an insight on the offensive and defensive System Principles.
Furthermore, they will get to learn more about the Serving and blocking strategies. All in all, the HP Seminar has the main objective to prepare the team to compete and win.
Fred Trouve and Sherif el Shemerly, the President of African Coaches’ Commission, are the instructors at the Seminar. Besides them, there are other top experts from CAVB Administration and some of the Team Managers at the seminar, who have delivered lectures.
The Board Member of FIVB and CAVB, Mr. Abdel Hadi Ghazi credited the President of CAVB Dr. Amr Elwani for his great efforts, in order to organise this seminar in Africa.
The High Performance Coaches’ Seminar has still two more days to go. The CAVB and FIVB are optimistic about the success of this symposium.
