CAn anybody tell me what is the difference between NGO&Trust&Cooperative Society with little description.?

  1. NGO- Non Government Organisation (Non Profit) which provides citizen services.

    Trust- Trust is formed with one or more than person with their resources one with specific objective and specific purpose.the owners after transferring the resources will loose the ownership assets cannot be transferred to any individual and lies with trust only.

    Co-operative Society is formed by the initiative of the people with specific interest and with their own specific resources to start  a venture. they alone bear losses or enjoy benefits.


  2. Cooperative society: Registered under co-operative act and registered before Joint registratr of Co-op society in India. It has more authority and can become credit society also

    Trust: Under trusteeship act, registered with Registration department authorities and majority of private temples, Very big estates etc has trustees.

    Non Govt.Organisations-NGO for short means all organisations purely private and working for social benifits and profit cannot be divided among members. Many are registered under charitable societies act of erstwhile travancore rules.
