CAn camcorder take good pictures??

Question

I am not sure whether camcorder will take good pictures or not....but i dont want to buy digicam just for pictures....i want to give priority to movies..

Can you please help me ?..

Also, if u can suggest good camcorder in the range of 200-250$ i would be thankful...

I'm not up to date on particular models and prices, but I do know that in general, the pictures camcorders take are smaller and lower resolution than a digital camera.  (My Sony VX2100 video camera was about $2,400 when I bought it, and it shoots great video footage...but the stills it takes are 640x480.)
