  1. I'm pretty sure the first one is C because ferns are unique in that they are the only vascular plants with flagellated sperm therefore they need water for the sperm to swim in to reach an egg.

    For the second question, i think the answer is D because alternation of generations is when it alternates from haploid to diploid and usually sporophytes are haploid while gametophytes are diploid.
