CB Joe Haden raring to return in Cleveland Browns vs Cincinnati Bengals – NFL News
Cleveland Browns cornerback Joe Haden is gearing up for return to action versus the Cincinnati Bengals this Sunday after serving a four-game ban he was handed over by the National Football League (NFL) over use of a banned drug.
Although the player said he had not used the drug with intent to enhance performance, the league did not accept his appeal and upheld his suspension for four games.
He sat out initial four games of the season while his side has been a story of sheer struggle without a win to their credit so far.
Joe is upbeat about his comeback and said:
"In a sense definitely. It's my team. I feel like I should have been out there with them and it's my fault I wasn't. In a way I do feel like I owe them. In the same way I feel like I did my time, so when I'm out there I'm still going to give it my all. I'm
not going to try to do anything extra and play outside myself. But I think they're going to notice I'm back."
The Browns are hosting Cincinnati Bengals this week, facing another challenge to meet as far as a win is concerned. Coach Pat Shurmur, although hopeful and confident as ever before, is clueless about the team’s chances of coming out of the looming poor form.
The Baltimore Ravens leading the American Football Conference (AFC) North while Browns without a win are at the bottom. It is rather a challenge for the new owner Jimmy Haslam to work out how he can help his side turn around when he formally takes over the
franchise.
A meeting of the NFL ownership committee is due later this month, which hopefully will approve the deal, and finally pave the way for Haslam to get the franchise rights from Randy Lerner – the former owner.
