CC Sabathia confident ahead fresh Major League season – MLB Update
The New York Yankees have played their offseason cards quite well. They re-signed some of the senior players like Andy Pettitte and Mariano Rivera.
As the other teams have also somewhat completed their offseason shopping and turned their attention towards preparing a good plan to enter into the fresh Major League Baseball season, the New York Yankees management has also started working for a better offensive strategy.
The New York Yankees start pitcher CC Sabathia, who recently spoke to the media, is also giving indications that his team will be a tough opponent next season. Though he did not directly comment on Yankees’ preparations but still he showed confidence to come-up with more offensive force in the next year.
Spring Training is also about to start and when it will start, the Yankees will be unfolding their new offensive strategy. Sabathia, who played the last season with quite consistency, is also hoping a great another season for the Yankees.
Last season, the Baltimore Orioles gave them tough time and in this offseason too, they are still signing some experienced free agents to compete with the Yankees.
"That experience, I think, helped us get to the playoffs last year when it came down to crunch time all of September," Sabathia said of the tight battle with Baltimore Orioles and explained in detail.
Later Sabathia said of the free agent derby and explained in detail, "It’s not over yet, You always have to look out for the Yankees having more up their sleeve. But if not, we have the guys."
"I know he’s excited to be able to come here and we’re looking forward to it," Sabathia said of Youkilis, a long-time Red Sox rival.
In short conversation with the reporters, he talked briefly about ongoing Yankees developments. He also talked about Kevin Youkilis who has recently signed by the New York Yankees.
Sabathia was also hopeful that Kevin Youkilis will play vital role for the Yankees. Yankees’ last year played with confidence but in the last stages of the postseason, they could not get their momentum right and lost with bitter humiliation.
