CCI Forged????

Question

I need to get to get new irons. I am a freshman in high school and i am on the golf team. Last year i shot in the mid-high eighties., but wasted a lot of shots around the green. But soon i will have that fixed. //

The most important thing is that i need to get new irons for the 2008 season. My coach said that the irons i have aren't going to improve me any way (Nike NDS). My ball striking is the strength in my game and was wondering whether to consider the CCI Forged irons. I am choosing these because i am so happy with the performance of all my other nike golf clubs.

Besides the CCI what are other brands of forged irons, not blades, would you recommend i hit and get custom fitted for?

Any opinions or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Nike sucks at making golf equipment.  They should stick to shoes.

Though I'm not a big Callaway fan, I do like the X Forged a lot.

If you are near a Golf Galaxy store, I would highly recommend you check out the Maltby M45 Forged.

Roger Maltby is one of the foremost club designers of the last 30 years and has designed many, many high quality irons for several different major manufacturers. His brand name is not really well known, but definitely worth a test. You may not fall in love with them, but you will not be disappointed.

Mizuno are by far the most popular brand of forged irons. I would strongly suggest you look into custom clubs as well. They will be of equal or greater quality than anything you buy off the rack, and will be the same price or cheaper. They also often have a far greater selection of clubs styles.

Look at KZ Golf clubs. That's what I use, and I would not trade them for anything. And they have no less than 6 styles of forged clubs to choose from. Check their website and see if they have a fitter in your area.

If I were you, I would get the TaylorMade irons that worked best for me.

titleist or mizuno. im a junior in high school and i play titlesist 775.cb and they are amazing, they're considered "game improvment, but they still have the excellent feel of forged
