CCL to start from January 13 – Cricket News Update
The second edition of the glamorous Indian T20 event, Celebrity Cricket League (CCL), is all set to begin from January 13 at the venues of Sharjah.
Six teams including Telugu http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Karnataka-c801 Bulldozers will participate in the tournament. The opening match will be played between Mumbai Heroes and Chennai Rhinos at the Sharjah Cricket
Stadium.
Now, the cricket c*m cinema fans will be able to watch at least 100 Bollywood actors showing their sporting skills on the field. The event will be packed with glamour, thrill and hullabaloo.
The inaugural editing of the CCL was held last year and proved to be a mega success with lots of spectators and immense sponsorship revenue. This urged the event organisers to raise the number of teams from four to six for the second edition.
It is expected that the third season will have eight participants with the inclusion of Marathi and Punjabi teams. The league bosses aim at ending up with 10 franchises as Bhojpuri and Gujarati sides will also be included by the 4th season.
While speaking to the media today about the future plans of the CCL managers, a renowned filmmaker, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sohail-Khan-c90647, said, “The league is also growing in size. Last year we had four teams, this year we've got six teams and next year we are going to have eight
teams and then we are going to end with ten teams.”
He further said,”We are going to introduce the Marathi and Punjabi team next year. Then there will be a Bhojpuri and a Gujarati team. We plan to cover all the film industries of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750 and it is a great platform for bringing together directors and producers.”
The start and success of the CCL has strengthened the Indians’ claim that they practice only two religions; Cinema and Cricket.
There is no denying to the fact that India is progressing rapidly in these two fields. The four successful editions of the Indian Premier League (IPL) coupled with arrival of hit movies every year depict that the natives, which make a big part of the world
population, have a lot of appetite for both of their religions.
