  1. Know what you mean-they do as they like-CCTV is ok but if the law does not have zero tolerance what's the point!

  2. How sad no one came to help that poor guy....I would love to see that gang get the same treatment....Starting with that B****h....

  3. In UK law, something is not a crime until it happens.

To stop something before it may happen can quite rightly lead to a harassment charge.

However, there are basic steps that can be taken by a motivated Government rather than a reactive soundbite Government.

Public Houses/clubs could be graded by a star system, these stars have to be earned by items such as good order, no drunkenness, no congregating outside the pub/club, food being served, calling time when a person has had enough. Nil Star pubs/clubs are closed after one year.

This would be called a Publicans responsibility; which was always so, but unfortunately with the shortage of over the counter takings the need is to keep serving.

Food should always be served in a pub.

With the stars system there should be Government reward. Such as a reduction in tax against takings and wages, help with tax for the self employed landlord/manager.

Recognition within the drinks industry in the form of tax free bonuses.

How is this going to be paid for?.

Cheap booze is a massive industry, add 400% taxation immediately to cheap booze, then it will no longer be cheap.

Anyone under the age limit to be given a custodial sentence in a drying out clinic; in the short term this costs extra, but the NHS savings would be apparent.

Any licensee serving to under age persons to lose their licence immediately with a ban on renewal for 10 years, the Public House/Club to be closed for 28 days with re-opening upon appeal, and new licencee.

Report and reward for anyone reporting under age drinking, heavy fines against parents i.e. £10,000-00, with anonymous reward, say £1,000-00. Reports via a system similar to ''Crime Stoppers''.

This would of course require reactive policing (difficult I know), but much crime is caused during drunkenness,.

This I feel would break the cycle, after all it takes practice to binge drink.

Any and all crimes of violence to have a custodial sentence of a minimum of 10 years (to be served).

Stop the Judiciary using drink as an excuse for violence; it may be an added reason but the violent person chose to drink, the innocent that was attacked did not choose to be attacked.

A bit long winded, but I hope it helps; you never know there may be a ''listening'' MP reading this.

    Some hope!.

  4. CCTV is a deterrant. Crime has significantly dropped in areas with CCTV (though it may have moved elsewhere!). Only an idiot(like those in the images) would commit crime in view of a camera
